How does Belkyra work?
The active ingredient in Belkyra is deoxycholic acid that helps break down fat. That broken down fat is metabolized in the body by natural mechanisms.
What to expect with Belkyra?
Belkyra treatment is tailored based on the amount and distribution of submental fat. The amount and number of treatments required vary from person to person.
Normally there will be redness, swelling, tenderness and numbness in the treated areas. These are temporary and resolve over time.
How long will the effect of the treatment last?
Once the desired aesthetic goal is achieved, after the required number of treatments, further treatment is not expected as the fat cells that are destroyed by Belkyra can no longer store fat.
